:) [20 Nov 2008|09:25pm] isat_belonely Hi, everybody! I'm new here (obviously) and I adore Adrien. Unfortunately, there are still some movies of his I haven't seen. But I love The Pianist, Dummy, and The Darjeeling Limited. I've also seen King Kong, The Village and The Affair of the Necklace. There hasn't been a movie of his that I've seen that I didn't like. So, just introducing myself. Oh, and bringing you a video that you might have seen before, but I thought it was adorable and had to post it anyway. This was in 2003 while he was promoting The Pianist. I love his laugh. It's sort of a giggle/guffaw that I find positively adorable. 3 comments | comments?

Retro: Halle Berry and Adrien Brody's kiss of 2003 [28 Sep 2008|04:21pm] hohaiyee Oh hai! Did anyone remember what Halle said about the kiss? I know Adrien was annoyed by its references afterwards, but I can't find what Halle said. I thought the clip was cute, until I came across references of it being an assault, and about what Adrien said afterwards, "I bet they didn't tell you that was in the gift bag,", which, depending on how it was said, could put this in a very Bad context. At first glance, once you think about it, and if you only saw the kissing part, it could be that way, but then I viewed the video again, and to my relief, I don't feel creeped out. He came at her with his arms outstretched, he was definitely looking at her, and read her correctly, because she wrapped her arm around him! ...and Halle wrapped her arm around him AFTER their mouth connected, so it wasn't a hug turned into surprise kiss; ( four blurry images ) ...and, the context proving that Adrien Brody is Not Creepy so that I can still continue to like him; 5 minute clip of Adrien Brody winning the Oscar Award When Adrien Brody heard the news, his mom leaned over, and he kissed his mom, and maybe it was the angle but it looks like the mouth. This is multicultural NA, some people are just raised more affectionately than other so it's just a friendly kiss for him. I just hope nobody who doesn't know what they are doing, Tries This At Home, because in my book, ( Surprise Kiss is still almost always a bad idea ) 2 comments | comments?

The couple has been dating for two years and share a New York home. And according to pals, the two will tie the knot in Spain in 2009. Darjeeling Limited in joke? [27 Dec 2007|08:20am] qween_tartii [ mood | awake ] The Darjeeling Limited opened in Australia yesterday so I took myself off to see it. Thought it was awesome! It's great to see Adrien doing something a bit lighter, but still playing a part he can really get his teeth into. But I can't help but wonder if Peter's line in the dining car - "Those Germans are annoying me!" - might have been some sort of in joke. It gave me the giggles, anyway ^_^ Just like the bit in King Kong where the jar of chloroform rolls across the floor from Adrien to Thomas Kretschmann - just like in The Pianist where Szpilman drops his jar of pickles and it rolls across the floor to where Hosenfeld is standing and watching him. A bit too much of a coincidence, especially considering the same actors are involved. Or many I'm just reading too much into it - The Pianist is, after all, one of my favorite movies. Heeee. But Peter Jackson and Wes Anderson are both directors who like to be in control of such miniscule details, it wouldn't surprise me if they were both deliberate inclusions. 1 comment | comments?
